Spencer Bean started MINIMALISTT in 2017 as a pet project. The ideas behind MINIMALISTT were inspired by Greg McKeown's book Essentialism and the philosophy of Stoicism. I (Brad Edwards) fell in love with the t-shirts and continually bothered Spencer regarding the making of more, how his business worked, etc.

In summer 2018, my sister Kristi and I took over MIMIMALISTT, got the business license to MINIMALIST APPAREL (with the intention of doing t-shirts and more), and wanted to continue with the awesome design and intention Spencer started the year prior.

In real life, Kristi is a full-time counselor and loves to hike and go tubing in western Colorado and loves her dogs Shayne and Skooter.

Brad is a special education teacher focusing on students with emotional disabilities and when he's not doing that, he's spending time with his wife Teri and rock climbing around the country and traveling around the globe.
